A little help?
The public health nurse just left and she was telling me all about this. I learned so much in the past 45 minutes about breastfeeding that I probably wouldn’t have known otherwise. Don’t let doctors/nurses bully you into supplementing with formula right away.
I’m soooo new here. I need help! I can’t for the life of me figure out how to reply to people when they’ve commented on my posts! It’s driving me crazy! I love the connections I’m making with other mom blogs. It’s great! Now… If only I could reply to you…
We are on our second round of major snow, here in KC. We had 12 inches last week and another 9 today. We’ve been hoping and praying all day that we don’t lose power like a lot of our fellow Kansas-citian’s have.
I could write about all the funny little things that happen when all three of us, Me, my husband Josh and our babe LillieNan, are at home together. All day, snowed in, not able to go anywhere. I don’t know that I need to do that though. I think you can probably imagine how that goes. Just because, I’ll include a few highlights. Josh has been in and out all day shoveling snow. (God bless him!!) He comes in each time and strips down to his long underwear and t-shirt. HOT! ;) Wanders around the house, plays with Lil a little. I learned that “He got his bell rung” does not in fact mean that a dude got hit in the junk… I know I know. I’ve thought this for years….
Upon that discovery, you better believe Josh and I laughed our asses off. LillieNan then joined in having absolutely no clue what we’re laughing about. So cute!! She absolutely lights up when the three of us are together. It’s amazing. Makes me so happy to be able to provide that for her.
I’ve been working on my headbands and accessories for my new etsy store. Shameless self promotion time… www.etsy.com/shop/LoveLilBoutique
I LOVE LOVE making things for babes! Husband doesn’t love all the materials all over the house but we’ll work it out. He hasn’t said anything but I can tell. Again God Bless him.
Most of all I’m grateful for a little unexpected time with my family. We are extremely busy people. I read so many mom blogs that are witty yes, but, somewhere in them mention moments spent crying in the closet while blogging and hiding from their full of energy or demanding children who “didn’t get their nap” today. Those are great. They serve their purpose. Most moms can relate. I usually chuckle.
That type of thing is not really my experience so far as a mom though. Lil is 8 months old and I am so crazy in love with her. We were not supposed to be able to have our own, so grateful and in love with her are understatements. I have a soon to be 6 year old stepson whom I adore. Yeah, he’s a “close talker” and screams jibberish straight in your face.. but.. we’re working on “personal space.” I also have a 15 year old step daughter who’s birthday is today.
My point here is, I love my little family. I’m so grateful everyday that God chose me for them, and them for me. I’m grateful that we get the opportunity to slow down. To put work and all the rush aside, if even for one day.
